In celebration of the International Day of Families, the Family Council launches “5.14 Free Tram Ride Day for the International Day of Families” on 14 May (Sun). Members of the public can enjoy free rides on all tram routes that day and explore Hong Kong Island with their family members. The Family Council will also introduce “The But's Family” tram which is decorated with characters from “The But's Family” in childlike and vivid paintings. The tram will tour around Hong Kong Island to deliver the message of “Marital Happiness and Harmony”, meaning protecting and caring for the family.
