Tramways awards Caring Company Logo
Hong Kong, February 21, 2005… Hongkong Tramways
Limited is recently awarded the 2004–2005 Caring Company Logo by the Hong
Kong Council of Social Service. This logo affirms and recognizes our
enthusiastic involvement in charities and community works as well as our
commitment to corporate citizenship.
In last year, to celebrate our operation in Hong Kong
for 100th year, we have offered complimentary antique tram rides
for local charitable associations for a whole month in July in order to
allow more people to experience the fun of riding on tram. Apart from free
tram rides, Hongkong Tramways also extended its support in donating part of
our revenue generated from centenary souvenirs to Fu Hong Society and
Children’s Cancer Foundation for carrying out their services and provided
promotional support to various charitable associations in their
fund-raising events, such as HK Red Cross, Community Chest and etc. In the
coming days, Hongkong Tramways is committed to and will continue to be a
caring company in Hong Kong.
