"I love this perspective, the angle cuts straight through the neighbourhood. The rain made the sky blue, in perfect contrast with the soft radiance of the street signs."

Looking out from Tai Lok Street, you see the many layers of Sai Wan Ho: the old shophouses, the newer Western buildings, and the tall residential towers by the water... The urban palette even includes locals' favourite street food paradise Tai On Building.

Clothes drying under the afternoon sun. A perfect urban canvas of everyday life in a city of 7 million people. This is the end of the tramline. At the end of Hoi An Street is the Sai Wan Ho Tram Depot, it was built in 1989 as a replacement of the Sharp Street Depot in Causeway Bay. That depot is no longer there, it was knocked down to make place for Times Square.

Ho Win Roasted Meat Restaurant

Many people come to Ho Win for its succulent roasted meat, but within the hood owner Yu is perhaps better known for his kindred spirit. Twice a week he hands out free lunch boxes to under-privileged elderly and never takes a rain check. "These people put a lot of faith in me, I cannot let them down."
